The Weekend

The most recent human geography class was very interesting. We learned that the map used by most schools (Mercator) is wrong. The one that's correct is the Peter's projection map. The reason the Mercator was wrong was of how it was projected and it made things larger instead of the size they are. We also watched two videos in that class. The first one was part of an old show and it showed people talking about which map was correct and was trying to encourage them to use the right one. The second one was a news weather segment and it started off with a projection of Maryland but when it showed a projection of the United States it was totally off and Mr. Schick lost all control. That was the best part of the class when he kept on saying things like why did they make it that big and it doesn't take up half the earth. When that happened we were all laughing so hard and we couldn't stop. We even watched Mr. Schick see if had enough tabs open on his computer and if he had the right one on. To me this was one of the best human geography class ever.
